Welcome to Ebony Grove High School, a distinguished secondary institution nestled in the scenic southwestern region of Clarendon, Jamaica. Since our founding in September 1995, we have been dedicated to nurturing young minds and building character through our unwavering commitment to 'Excellence with Godliness.' Under the visionary leadership of our founder, Mr. Moses Mayne, and the continued guidance of our Principal, Ms. Marjorieth Manning JP, we have grown from humble beginnings into a thriving educational community.
Our school began with just 88 students and four dedicated teachers, reflecting the intimate, family-oriented atmosphere that continues to define our educational approach today. Located at Toll Gate P.O. in Clarendon, we serve students throughout the parish and beyond, providing quality secondary education that prepares young people for success in higher education and meaningful careers. Since 2006, our partnership with the Ministry of Education has strengthened our ability to serve more students through the Grade 9 Achievement Test placement system.
At Ebony Grove High School, we pride ourselves on offering comprehensive educational programs that include academic excellence alongside practical skills development. Our facilities house specialized departments for visual arts, clothing and textiles, and carpentry, ensuring that students receive well-rounded preparation for diverse career paths. With strong leadership from our Board Chair, Mrs. Marcia Henry, and Board Member Rev. Joseph Rose, we continue to expand our impact in the community.
